Management has made remarkable strides in BBBEE over the past three years. In
the 2009 financial year verification, which was conducted in June 2010, dFM
achieved an outstanding Level 2 rating. The most notable area of improvement
was Preferential Procurement, with a weighted BBBEE procurement spent of over
93%. The other entities in the group namely, Mercedes-Benz South Africa
(Pty) Ltd and Mercedes-Benz Financial Services South Africa (Pty) Ltd both had
resounding success, with a BBBEE recognition of a Level 4 respectively. Daimler Fleet
Management’s success can be
attributed to the company’s strategies, recognising the need to transform,
constant monitoring, as well as the dedication & commitment of all its
employees & decision makers.
